Everyone you
meet knows something you don’t. Rarely do we let ourselves learn from them. We
all fall into the trap of being knowing-it-alls. There is nothing noble in
being superior to your fellow man. True nobility is being superior to your
former self. When we seem to be getting ahead and winning in our businesses,
careers, life or anything else, that is when our humility is tested.
Remembering where you have come from, remembering the beginnings, reflecting on
the journey is what’ll humble you. Humility is such a great thing. If only we’d
remember that often.
